how should i shine my boots?
i just got a new pair of BATES leather tactical boots and i am wondering what is the best way in which to shine them. i have heard that people heat the polish up with a lighter and or use water, etc. thanks
It depends on the material of the boots. I would guess they are full leather. First, clean off the dirt and grime from the boots. Next, apply the polish thick and even all over the surface of the boots. let that dry. Next wet (spit) a soft cloth, with or without wax, and rub all over the polished surface in a circular motion. Then take a buffing brush and even out the shine. This should work. If you want an intense and lengthy process, only necessessary if you are wearing these for parade, then see the other source.
